Abstract: Representation theory plays an important role in modern mathematics (e.g. number theory) and modern physics (e.g. quantum mechanics, string theory). It is also a main part of Langlands Program. In this talk, we will try to present a "basic framework" and describe some "global pictures" of representation theory and harmonic analysis of Lie groups. 

附个人简介：刘刚博士，男，现任法国Lorraine大学Cartan研究所的副教授。2011年在法国Poitiers大学获得博士学位后至2014年这段时间，刘博士主要在德国一些科研机构从事博士后研究，其中包括波恩的普朗克研究所，以及汉诺威大学。期间，其还曾先后被日本东京大学、以色列Weizmann研究所、丹麦Aahrus大学以及中国科学院等机构邀请进行学术合作或访问。刘博士感兴趣的研究领域包括表示论，非交换调和分析，以及数理金融。
